Lip fillers are a non-surgical procedure that ​alters the appearance of lips by increasing volume, improving the shape and structure and giving you fuller plumper lips! ​

There are many types of different dermal fillers that can be injected in your lips and around your mouth and at Facetherapy NI we only use fillers that are ​specially formulated for lips and that contain hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid is found naturally within our skin and joints and helps skin with volume and hydration. ​

As we age, production of hyaluronic acid slows down giving skin a hollowed-out, creped look. ​Dermal fillers, such as Juvéderm® and Volift®, are injected in small controlled doses just under the surface of the skin of the area to be treated. This fills ​out the sunken areas and lines to give a smoother, firmer and more refreshed appearance. And, of course, a fuller more youthful pout!

Results are almost instant! A little bruising and swelling are to be expected but, in most cases, this subsides within around 72 hours. Depending on the desired look, ​ results can be natural with a subtle difference or plumper, pillowy pout can be achieved if you want an Instagram worthy “Kylie Jenner lip”. Results can last ​from 6 to 24 months (depending on the filler selected). ​​
